About AVOTS

Connecting research, education and community

AVOTS CIC develops and delivers community-based projects that bring together research, education and lived experience to promote inclusion, wellbeing and participation.

Founded by a researcher and practitioner with a background in psychology, education and autism research, AVOTS was established to bridge the gap between research, professional practice and lived experience.

Our projects focus on community engagement, education, wellbeing, inclusion and knowledge exchange. We work collaboratively with children, families, educators, professionals and community organisations to identify priorities, generate new knowledge and develop practical initiatives.

We do not simply support projects. We design, deliver and evaluate initiatives in partnership with communities, ensuring that evidence, expertise and lived experience contribute equally to meaningful and lasting change.

Our work

Three strands, one shared purpose

At AVOTS, research informs practice, practice informs research, and communities play an active role in shaping both.
